For videos in a course or module that are required viewing, you have the option to turn on the toggle "Require Video Playback". When this toggle is flipped on, users cannot fast forward and proceed in the course or module until the video has played.

  • Note: Require video playback is only available for videos uploaded into Opus. It will not appear as an option for videos supported by Youtube or Vimeo.

If a trainee exits Opus in the middle of a required video, their progress will not be saved. They will be shown a message that lets them know they will have to start the video over.

Require Video Playback Best Practices

  • Turn on Require Video Playback for important videos that should not being skipped over by users and watched their entirety.

  • Requiring video playback for all training videos may create a burdensome training experience in the app.
