There are 3 ways to start a message blast from your dashboard

  • From any trainee list

  • From any trainee user page

  • From the Messages page

Let's dig into each one:

Trainee List

From the People page, click the checkbox next to one or multiple names - this will unlock a menu bar at the bottom of the screen with multiple actions. Click the Message button, then create and send your message

Trainee User Page

Click a name from the trainee list to reveal the trainee user page. Click the "Message" button to the right of "Edit" then create and send your message

Messages Page

From your Messages page, click the blue "New" icon.

How to Send a Message Blast

To prepare a message blast, click "New" and a new modal will open. In order to send a message blast, you'll need to fill out:

  • Sender

  • Recipients

  • Message Subject Line (optional)

  • Message Body (Rich-text formatting & AI Assist)

  • File Attachments

  • Schedule Send Date

  • Notifications

  • Translations

Let's dive into each one:

Sender

Admins can now send messages on behalf of the organization instead of individual users, providing a more official and unified communication channel.

Recipients

Designate your message audience by targeting individual employees or by selecting groups (roles, locations, departments, etc.)

Subject Lines

Add subject lines to your messages for improved clarity and focus, helping recipients quickly understand the message's content and importance.

Enhanced Formatting

Header size options and improved rich-text formatting tools allow you to create more polished and visually appealing messages.

AI Assist

Utilize AI Assist to:

  • Quickly add relevant emojis

  • Simplify complex text

  • Fix spelling and grammar issues

Multiple File Attachments

  • Attach multiple files to a single message

  • Pin a key file to the top for emphasis

  • Easily manage your attachments within the message

Schedule Message

Once you're ready to pull the trigger on your message, you can schedule it out, send immediately, or save it as a draft to review later.

Translations

Ensure language translation accuracy by switching the Translations toggle on and previewing your message across any language.

Notifications

The default setting for all messages is to send only once. However, you have the option to set a daily reminder to anyone who has not opened the message.

Click Notifications and select Daily Reminders, and pick what date the reminders will end (this is a required field - use this function for time sensitive messages (e.g. new menu items, compliance training requirements)

What Happens After a Message is Sent

Reactions and Reporting

Recipients can react to messages with preset list of emojis, increasing engagement. Admins and Managers can also view detailed reports (including read receipts!) on these reactions to gauge message effectiveness. To view more specific engagement data on a message, click View Engagement in the top right of the dashboard.

Improved Message Rendering

From the recipient's point of view, pinned media now appear at the top of the message for increased visibility. Other attachments are neatly arranged at the bottom for better organization.

Deleting Messages

Send something by accident? You can permanently delete unwanted messages from the inbox by tapping the trash icon in the top right corner of the message blast.

  • Admins have the ability to delete any messages sent across the org. Managers can only delete messages they've sent themselves.

Good To Knows

  • Message Blast functionality varies between the dashboard and mobile app.

  • When you send a message, recipients are made aware that the message came from you - your name will appear as it was entered when you signed up.

  • Messages are one-way. Trainees can not respond

  • If a trainee has not downloaded the app, they will receive a text message instead, to their registered phone number

  • Your entire message history lives on the Messages page
