How to Delete or Edit a Location

Edit or delete a location to keep your assignments and reporting accurate as your business changes.

Written by Ben Brunken

Your business changes — sites open, close, rebrand, or relocate. Keeping locations current in Opus keeps your assignments and reporting accurate, so training always reaches the right people.

Editing and Deleting Locations

How to Edit a Location

  1. Go to "People" in the left-hand menu of your dashboard, then select "Locations."

  2. Click the three-dot menu (•••) at the end of the location's row.

  3. Select "Edit."

  4. Update the Name, Address, or its Franchise, Brand, and Regions.

  5. Click "Save."

How to Delete a Location

  1. Go to "People" in the left-hand menu of your dashboard, then select "Locations."

  2. Click the three-dot menu (•••) at the end of the location's row.

  3. Select "Delete" and confirm.

📝 Deleting a location never deletes the Trainees in it. Any Trainees tied to a deleted location will need to be reassigned to a new location to keep training.

How to Move or Remove Trainees from a Location

To move a Trainee to a different location or deactivate their account, go to "Users," click the three-dot menu (•••) next to their name, and choose the option you need.

FAQ

What happens to Trainees when I delete a location?

Can I change a location's Region, Brand, or Franchise later?

Yes — open the location's "Edit" options anytime to update its Franchise, Brand, or Regions.
