How to Manage Video Subtitles

Learn how to edit and enable subtitles in your training videos.

Users can turn on subtitles by tapping the CC icon in the top right corner of the video player, then selecting their preferred language.

  • Available languages: Subtitles are available in any language that's active in your Opus account. For example, if a user has selected Spanish as their language in Opus, they'll see Spanish as a subtitle option. See the full list of available languages.

  • Default setting: Once a user turns on subtitles, they'll remain on by default for all future videos.

  • To turn off subtitles: Tap the CC icon and select Off.

How to Edit Subtitles in the Opus Dashboard

You can edit English video subtitles in the Opus Dashboard.

  • Open the course or module and click the screen with the video

  • On the right toolbar, click "Edit Subtitles"

  • Click into the individual text fields under the timestamps to edit text

  • Click "Save" at the bottom of the toolbar when you're done editing

πŸ’‘ Tip: Click on the timestamps to jump to specific spots in the video to listen to the soundtrack and edit the corresponding subtitles.
