How to Turn on Subtitles

In the Opus Training app, users can easily turn on subtitles on a video by tapping the "CC" icon the top right corner of the video player. From there, they'll be able to select their language preference.

What subtitle languages are available?

Opus supports automatic subtitles for any language that is active or selected by a user in Opus. For example, users that have selected Spanish or French as their language in Opus will see their selected language as an option for subtitles. Click here to see the full list of available languages.

Please note that once subtitles are initially turned on, it becomes the default experience for the user moving forward in the app.

To turn off subtitles, simply tap the "CC" icon in the top right corner of the video player and tap "Off".

How to Edit Subtitles in the Opus Dashboard

You can edit English video subtitles in the Opus Dashboard.

  • Open the course or module and click the screen with the video

  • On the right toolbar, click "Edit Subtitles"

  • Click into the individual text fields under the timestamps to edit text

  • Click "Save" at the bottom of the toolbar when you're done editing

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Click on the timestamps to jump to specific spots in the video to listen to the soundtrack and edit the corresponding subtitles.
