Tags enable you to quickly organize your content across multiple categories. Use them to put your content into "buckets" by grouping them together under subjects such as menu specials, food safety, etc.. This allows you to find content in your library by using Tags as a filter. By tapping the names of the top or "pinned" tags at the top, you'll be able to quickly access library items by their associated tags.
Pinned v. Available in App Tags
Pinning tags let you control which tags are featured first in the Library. Think of your Pinned tags as the most popular categories in your Library. Pinning a tag will put it at the top of the Library in the dashboard and mobile app for easy access.
Tags that are "Available in App" will be visible and usable by trainees so that they can find what they need, but will not appear by default unless a trainee taps "Show More" in the Library.
If a Tag is neither pinned nor available in app, it can be used for internal tagging in the dashboard. This is a great option for using an internal labeling system that's only visible to Admins & Managers.
Managing Tags
You can create and manage tags by going to "Tags" under "Workflows" in the Opus dashboard. Here, you'll also see counts for how many times that tag is used across modules, courses, check-ins, and resources.
Create a new tag by clicking "+ New Tag" in the top right
Edit or delete an existing tag by clicking on the 3 dots at the end of the row
Adding and Removing Tags
Under Modules, Courses, Resources, and Check-ins you'll have the option to add and remove tags by either:
To tag items individually, click into the empty cell under the Tags column
To tag items in bulk, check the library item by clicking into the thumbnail image under the Name column - a blue menu bar will appear at the bottom of the screen with the options to tag multiple items at once
In the Library, you will see a button that says “Tags”.
Filter by tag to see all content with that given tag. When switching between types of content, that tag will carry over.
Keep in mind that multiple tags can be added to a single item! Pinned tags are automatically selected by the ones that are most commonly used.
Allow your trainees to organize their files in the app - here's how:
From "Tags", hover over the tag that needs to be edited.
Click the three dots to the right of the tag to edit the name of the tag.
Click “Visible to employees”
