Guest feedback shows where your team is falling short, but acting on it can take time you do not always have. The Guest Feedback integration reads your reviews, identifies recurring patterns, and turns them into prioritized training recommendations.
You can import reviews through Ovation, Google Business Profile, or a CSV upload. This article walks through each option.
π‘ Find Guest Feedback feature under Workflows in the left navigation menu in your dashboard. Go to the Data Sources tab to manage your connections.
Table of Contents:
Ovation
The Ovation integration requires a quick setup step with your Customer Success Manager. You do not need to configure anything yourself.
To connect:
Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or support@opus.so to request the Ovation integration
Opus handles the rest
Once set up, your Ovation reviews sync into Opus automatically
The Ovation integration syncs reviews daily and runs analysis weekly to generate new opportunities.
Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile connects directly to Opus and syncs your Google reviews automatically on a daily basis. Opus runs analysis weekly to generate new opportunities.
To connect:
Go to Guest Feedback β Data Sources
Click + Add integration
Select Google Business Profile
Sign in with your Google account and approve access
Select which location to connect
Once connected, your integration appears under Connected sources. Check the Sync history section at the bottom of the tab to confirm your reviews are coming through.
π‘ If your locations are managed under separate Google Business Profiles, repeat these steps for each one. If all locations are under a single profile, you only need to connect once.
CSV Upload
Using a feedback platform other than Google or Ovation? You can import your reviews manually with a CSV file. First, generate a report from your guest feedback system that includes the following fields:
Review Rating
Review Text
Review Timestamp
Location
To upload:
Go to Guest Feedback in the Opus dashboard
Click Upload CSV in the top right
Drag and drop your file, or browse to select it
Map your columns and match your locations (see below)
Click Submit to finish the import
Uploaded files appear under CSV uploads on the Data Sources tab. They show the filename, locations matched, and total reviews imported.
Once uploaded, you will map your CSV columns to the right fields in the feature. To do this, select the matching pairs. In the Rating Range field, enter the minimum and maximum score from your guest feedback system.
Example: If your CSV contains a column with the header Review Text, map it to the feature field Feedback Column.
π‘ Allow some time for the system to process your CSV upload, scan your training library, and generate opportunities for you.
Location Matching
Opus will match the locations mentioned in your reviews to the ones in your dashboard. Here is how it works:
Location Matching for CSV Uploads
When you upload a CSV, Opus walks you through a three-step process to make sure your reviews are linked to the right locations.
Upload your file: Drag and drop your CSV or browse to select it. Opus reads your file and pulls in the column headers so you can map them in the next step.
Map your columns: Tell Opus which columns contain your review content, date, rating, and location name. Opus uses this information to read and organize your data correctly.
Match your locations: Opus compares the location names in your CSV against your Opus locations and pre-fills as many matches as it can. Any locations it cannot match automatically will show as empty. You will select the correct Opus location from a dropdown for each one.
All locations must be matched before you can submit. Once every location is mapped, click Submit to finish the import.
π‘ The closer your CSV location names are to how locations are named in Opus, the more matches Opus can fill in automatically.
Location Matching for Google Business Profile and Ovation
Opus automatically links incoming reviews to your locations using name and address matching. You can review and update any location mappings from the Data Sources tab.
Sync History
At the bottom of the Data Sources tab, the Sync history section shows:
When each source last imported reviews
Whether the sync completed successfully
Google Business Profile syncs run daily automatically. CSV uploads are processed when you submit them.
After Connecting
Once your reviews have imported, Opus analyzes the feedback and starts generating Opportunities in the Opportunities tab. Opportunities are prioritized training recommendations backed by real guest reviews.
π See Guest Feedback Integration Overview to learn what to do next.
FAQ
I use a different guest feedback platform. Can I still use this feature?
Yes! Export your reviews as a CSV and upload them manually using the Upload CSV button. You will need to match your locations during the upload process.
Can I connect more than one data source?
Yes! You can have multiple sources connected at the same time, such as Google Business Profile and a CSV upload. All reviews are combined and analyzed together.
How often does my data sync?
Ovation and Google Business reviews sync daily, and Opus runs analysis weekly. Check the last sync date and status in the Sync history section of the Data Sources tab.
What if a location in my CSV does not match an Opus location?
Opus flags any unmatched locations during the upload process. You will select the correct location from a dropdown before you can submit. Make sure location names in your CSV are consistent with how they are named in Opus to reduce manual matching.
Can I delete a data source or uploaded CSV?
