Manage Trainees in the Dashboard

In this article, you will learn how to track course progress, edit trainee details (locations, roles, etc.), and export the data you need to stay on track.

Course Progress

Incomplete Assignments

  • In the dashboard, click a trainee's name from the People page and click Assigned.

  • Click into one of the courses or modules to see when the course was started, if it's past due and how it was assigned.

Course Completion

  • In the dashboard, click a trainee's name from the People page and click Completed.

  • Hover over the course, and click the ellipses icon at the far right to download a course completion certificate.

Course Detail Page

  • You can also view or download a list of employees who have completed the course from the course detail page.

Moving a Trainee to a New Location or Role

There are two ways to add a trainee to a location or role from the dashboard.

  1. From the Employee Detail page

  2. From the People page

Employee Detail Page:

  • In the Details section under the Profile tab of the user page, hover over the field next to Locations or Roles.

  • Click the pencil icon to edit.

People Page:

  • Check the box next to one or multiple trainee names.

  • Click the "Edit Locations" or "Edit Roles" button in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen to update their Location or Role details.

Removing a Trainee from Opus

When a trainee has left your organization and you need to remove them from the Opus platform entirely. You can do so from the dashboard or the app.

In the dashboard, you have two options:

  • From the Employee Detail page, click the ellipses button towards the top right corner, and click "Deactivate account."

  • On the People page, check the box next to one or multiple trainee names and click the "Deactivate" button from the menu bar on the bottom of the screen.

On the mobile app:

  • Click into People, then tap the trainee's name.

  • Tap the Edit button and select "Remove employee"

Once a person has been removed from Opus, their status will be updated to "Deactivated."

To reactivate their Opus profile, tap their name and click “Reactivate account” in their user page.

You can also add or remove a trainee from a location or role in the app. Here's how:

  1. Confirm that you are in Admin or Manager mode.

  2. Tap any trainee's name from the People page.

  3. Tap edit at the top right.

  4. Tap Location or Role.

  5. Then tap the location or role you'd like to assign the trainee to and hit the "Assign Location" or "Save" button.

Exporting Trainee Data

Export a list of trainees and their data from the dashboard.

  • Head to the People page.

  • Click the "Export" button in the right hand corner.
