Getting your team into Opus takes seconds, not paperwork. There's no roster to upload and no accounts to create by hand — each Trainee signs themselves up from a single link or QR code, and they're training within minutes.
All you need to get started is each Trainee's phone number, which acts as their unique ID in Opus. Every location has its own signup link and QR code, so people always land in the right place. Trainees join by either:
Scanning the QR code with their phone, or
Clicking the signup link you send by text or email.
Invite Trainees from either the dashboard or the mobile app. Trainees only have access to the Opus Training app.

How to Invite Trainees
Invite your team from either the web dashboard or the Opus Training mobile app.
From the Dashboard (Desktop)
Click the blue "+ New" button in the top left.
Hover over "Invite Users" → select "Trainee."
Pick your location. You'll see a QR code plus two options:
"Print as flyer" — to post in your location
"Copy as URL" — to share by text or email
From the Mobile App
Tap "Invite" on the home screen.
Select a location.
Have your team scan the QR code on your screen, or send them the signup link by text or email.
💡 Each location has a unique code and link. Double-check you're inviting Trainees to the right location.
How Trainees Sign Up
Signup takes less than 10 seconds. Each Trainee provides:
Preferred language
Full name
Phone number
They're then sent to the App Store (iOS 13+) or Google Play to download the Opus Training app. Once it's installed, they log in with their phone number and start training right away.
Verification Options
Trainees confirm their account with a verification code. If the standard method doesn't work, there are several backups:
Text or WhatsApp — Most Trainees get their code by text. If WhatsApp is installed, the code can arrive there too.
Phone call — Didn't get the text? Choose "Get a call instead."
Email (no phone number) — On the signup page, tap "Don't have a phone? Use an email instead." Enter name, language, email, and password to log in with email credentials.
Manual code — If someone already downloaded the Opus app before being invited, use the manual signup code (found under the QR code) to let them join.

Using the Manual Signup Code
If a Trainee downloaded the Opus app before being invited, use the manual sign up code (located under the QR code) to let them finish signing up.
💡 Have a Trainee without a phone? Send them the signup link instead of the QR code. When they open it, the form defaults to asking for a phone number — at the bottom is a link that says "Don't have a phone? Use an email instead." Clicking it switches the form to email and password, which they'll use to log in going forward.
💡 Updating a phone number? Edit it directly in the Trainee's user profile. Re-scanning the QR code creates a brand-new account, and they'll lose their existing progress and completion history.
A Note on Privacy
Opus does not track GPS location, and we never sell user data. Your team doesn't need to log in each time — they just open the app at work and start training.
