Guest Feedback is the Signal behind your training Recommendations — and the Guest Feedback page is where you review that feedback and manage the sources it comes from. Connect a source and Opus reads your reviews, spots recurring patterns, and turns them into prioritized training Recommendations.
You can bring in reviews from Ovation, Google Business Profile, Tattle, or a CSV upload. This article walks through connecting each source and reviewing your feedback.
💡 Find Guest Feedback under Signals in the left-hand menu of the Recommendations page. It has two tabs: Reviews and Data Sources.
Table of contents:
Connecting a data source
Guest Feedback can only find patterns in reviews it can actually see, so connecting a data source is the essential first step. Each source you connect feeds Opus a stream of reviews. The more you connect, the sharper and more complete your Recommendations become.
Go to Guest Feedback → Data Sources and click Add integration, then choose your source.
Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile connects directly and syncs your Google reviews automatically.
Click Add integration and select Google Business Profile.
Click Continue to Google, sign in, and approve access.
Choose which location to connect.
💡 If your locations are managed under separate Google Business Profiles, repeat these steps for each one. If they're all under a single profile, you only need to connect once.
Ovation
The Ovation integration is set up by the Opus team — you don't need to configure anything yourself.
Click Add integration and select Ovation.
Click Generate email to send a prefilled request to Opus.
Once it's set up, your Ovation reviews sync into Opus automatically.
Tattle
Tattle is also set up through a quick authorization email.
Click Add integration and select Tattle.
Click Generate email — this opens a prefilled request to Tattle, copied to the Opus team.
Once authorized, your Tattle reviews sync into Opus automatically.
➡️ If you're looking to get connected to Ovation or Tattle, you can also reach out directly to support@opus.so. We will get back to you within one to two business days
CSV upload
If you are using a platform that's not on the list of integrations, you can import your reviews manually.
First, export a report from your feedback system that includes feedback text, date, rating, and location columns. Columns can be named anything and date fields can be in text format).
On the Guest Feedback page, click Upload CSV.
Upload: drag and drop your file, or browse to select it.
Map CSV columns: choose a Source label, then match your feedback, date, rating, and location columns. Opus auto-detects your Rating Range (the min and max score in your system) — adjust it if needed.
Map locations: Opus matches the location names in your file to your Opus locations and pre-fills what it can. Fill in any unmatched locations from the dropdown.
Click Submit to finish the import.
💡 After uploading, Opus will generate Recommendations within 10-20 minutes.
Location matching
Opus matches reviews to the correct location so Recommendations, reporting, and training stay accurate.
For Google Business Profile, Tattle and Ovation, matching happens automatically (you can adjust it in the source details on Data Sources).
CSV uploads pre-fill matches and let you confirm or correct the rest during upload.
💡 The closer your source's location names are to how locations are named in Opus, the more matches Opus can fill in automatically.
Reviewing feedback
The Reviews tab shows you the raw feedback behind your Recommendations. Here is what you’ll see
Rating and mention trend: a chart of your average Star rating over time. Toggle the range to 30, 60, or 90 days, or All time. Select a theme to switch it to a Mention trend showing how often that issue comes up.
Top themes: the most common categories Opus has surfaced across your feedback, each with a mention count. Click a theme to filter both the chart and the review list.
Review list: every review with its Date, Rating, Source, Location, and full text. Sort by date or rating, and use the search bar and rating filters to find specific feedback. Click any review to open its full detail.
💡 Use the Min rating and Max rating filters together to zero in on your lowest-rated reviews. This can be the fastest way to understand a recurring complaint.
Managing data sources
The Data Sources tab is where you connect and manage everything feeding the Guest Feedback Signal. It has three sections:
Connected sources — your live integrations and their location mappings.
CSV uploads — files you've imported, with their mapped locations and review counts.
Sync history — when each source last imported reviews and whether the sync succeeded.
You can connect more than one source at a time — all reviews are combined and analyzed together. You can update your sources over time so it stays current.
From the Data Sources tab you can:
Enable or disable an integration to pause or resume syncing.
Edit location mappings — open a source to reassign which Opus location each source location maps to.
Delete an integration or CSV upload. This also deletes the reviews imported from it, and can't be undone. (Ovation integrations are managed by Opus and can't be deleted from the dashboard.)
Sync history & timing
At the bottom of the Data Sources tab, Sync history shows when each source last imported reviews and whether the sync completed. A sync still in progress shows as In Progress until it finishes.
Google Business Profile, Ovation, and Tattle sync review daily.
CSV uploads are processed as soon as you submit them.
Opus runs its analysis to generate Recommendations once a week.
FAQ
I use a different guest feedback platform. Can I still use this?
Yes. Export your reviews as a CSV and upload them with the Upload CSV button. You'll match your locations during the upload.
Can I connect more than one source?
Yes, you can have several sources connected at once — for example, Google Business Profile plus a CSV upload. All reviews are combined and analyzed together.
How often does my data sync?
Connected integrations sync reviews daily, and Opus runs its analysis weekly to generate Recommendations. Check the last sync date and status under Sync history.
What if a location in my CSV doesn't match an Opus location?
Opus flags any unmatched locations during upload, and you'll select the correct one from a dropdown before you can submit. Keeping your CSV location names consistent with Opus reduces manual matching.
Can I delete a source or uploaded file?
Yes, from the Data Sources tab. Deleting also removes the reviews imported from that source.
Who can connect and manage sources?
Admins have access by default, plus any Manager granted the Manage Org Integrations permission. Trainees don't have access.
