Have a SCORM package hosted outside of Opus? You can link it to an Opus Course without rebuilding the training itself.

This lets your team access external training through Opus while you track completion of the Course that contains the SCORM link. It's a simple way to bring existing training into your Opus learning program without moving or rebuilding the content.

Before you add the training to Opus, you'll need the launch link for the SCORM package. This is the web link that opens the SCORM training when someone clicks it.

If your SCORM is hosted by a training vendor or in a tool like Storyline, Captivate, or Rise, use the link provided by that platform for launching the training.

Copy the full link, including https://. For example: https://vendor.com/course. Opus only accepts links that start with https://.

This is the link you'll add to your Opus Course in the next step.

The SCORM appears as a link card rather than an embedded player. Team members select View Link to open it. On the dashboard, it opens in a new tab. In the Opus Training app, it opens in an in-app browser.

You can add one link per screen. The link can't be translated, so the same URL is used in every Course language. If your vendor provides a separate SCORM package for each language, create a separate Course for each language.

You can also add text to the screen to explain what the team should do.

If you want to check understanding after the training, add follow-up screens with quiz questions.

If you want to include the SCORM training as part of a larger learning program, you can add the Course to a Module like any other Course. For example, you could build a Module with:

This gives your team one place to access the training, even when the content is hosted somewhere else. You can also see who has completed the Opus Course, so external training can still be part of your team's learning program and completion tracking.

Opus tracks completion of the Course that contains the SCORM link. It does not receive completion data from the SCORM package itself, so it can't tell you whether someone opened the SCORM, how far they got, whether they completed it, or what score they received.

If you want to capture additional evidence of completion or understanding, add quiz questions or a Check-in in addition to the SCORM link.

Link it if you need to preserve the SCORM package as-is (for example, compliance training) or if it's highly interactive (Storyline or Captivate-style training).

Linked SCORM content can't be translated, so you won't be able to localize it inside Opus.

Opus stores the link to the SCORM package, not the package itself. If the vendor keeps the same link, no changes are needed in Opus.
