Getting your team into Opus takes seconds. There's no roster to upload and no accounts to create by hand: each Trainee signs up from a single link or QR code and starts training within minutes.
Each Trainee's phone number acts as their unique ID in Opus. Every Location has its own signup link and QR code, so your team always lands in the right place. Trainees join by either:
Scanning the QR code with their phone, or
Opening the signup link you send by text or email.
Invite Trainees from the dashboard or the Opus Training app. Trainees only have access to the Opus Training app.
š” Inviting an Admin or Manager instead? They sign up with an email login. See How to Invite a Manager and How to Invite an Admin.

How to Invite Trainees
Invite your team from the dashboard or the Opus Training app.
From the Dashboard
Click New in the top left corner of the left nav.

Choose your Location. You'll see its QR code, its manual sign up code, and two options:
Print as flyer: choose English or Spanish to print a flyer to post at your Location.
Copy as URL: copy the signup link to share by text or email.
You can also open the same dialog from People > Users > Invite Users > Trainee.
From the Mobile App
Tap Invite on the home screen.
Select a Location. Use the search bar if you manage multiple Locations.
Have your team scan the QR code on your screen, or tap Copy Signup Link and send it by text or email.

How Trainees Sign Up
Signup takes less than 10 seconds. Each Trainee provides:
Preferred language
First and last name
Mobile phone number
They're then sent to the App Store (iOS 13+) or Google Play to download the Opus Training app. Once it's installed, they log in with their phone number and start training right away.
Verification Options
Trainees confirm their phone number with a verification code. If the text doesn't arrive, there are backups:
Text: Most Trainees get their code by text. If WhatsApp verification is turned on for your business, the code also arrives on WhatsApp.
Phone call: Not receiving a text? Tap Get a call instead.
Email (no phone number): On the signup page, tap Don't have a phone? Use an email instead. The Trainee enters an email and a password of at least 8 characters, and logs in with them from then on.
š” Forgot your password? Reset it on the password reset page.
Using the Manual Signup Code
If a Trainee downloaded the Opus Training app before being invited, give them the Manual sign up code shown under the QR code. They enter it in the app to finish signing up.
š” Updating a phone number? Edit it directly in the Trainee's profile. Re-scanning the QR code with a new number creates a brand-new account, and the Trainee loses their existing progress and completion history.
A Note on Privacy
Opus does not track GPS location, and we never sell user data. Your team doesn't need to log in each time: they open the app at work and start training.
FAQ
How do I add team members to Opus?
Trainees add themselves by scanning your Location's QR code or opening its signup link, so you can't add a Trainee by phone number yourself. You invite Managers and Admins directly.
How do I resend an invite to a Trainee?
Trainees don't get an invite message, so there's nothing to resend. Share the signup link again: go to People > Users > Invite Users > Trainee, choose the Location, and click Copy as URL or Print as flyer. In the app, tap Copy Signup Link.
How can I see who hasn't signed up or downloaded the app?
Go to People > Users and filter by App downloaded > No. If your HRIS is connected, the Not Invited count on your dashboard home page lists everyone in your HR system who isn't in Opus yet.
Can I invite a lot of Trainees at once?
Share one signup link or QR code with everyone at a Location. Each Trainee signs up in seconds. Admins can invite many Managers or Admins at once from Settings > Scheduled Invites.
Why can't I invite my team to my Location?
The Location has to exist in Opus, and you need to be assigned to it. Only Admins can create Locations.
