To meet 100% of your workforce, Desktop-based training is now supported by Opus. While training content will be designed for a mobile-first experience, desktop-based training allows team members who prefer to train on a laptop or desktop to computer to complete their training.

How to Train on Desktop (Admins & Managers)

As an Admin or Manager, you should already have access to the Opus dashboard via desktop.

  • Don't have access to Opus? Contact your admin or email support@opus.so to get set up.

Once you're logged in, go to Library and click on the new tab called "My Training" to access your training assignments.

On this page, you'll see a list of your current training assignments and due dates (if applicable). To begin your training, click on an assignment.

The desktop-based training experience should look and feel exactly like the mobile app training experience. However, unlike the mobile app, you will see:

  • Buttons to tap up and down through a course, instead of swiping.

  • A preview of the module on the left-hand navigation.

Once you've completed the course or module, you'll be able to leave feedback and review past assignments under the new "My Training" tab.

How to Train on Desktop (Trainees)

In order to access Opus via desktop, trainees will need to go to dashboard.opus.so. Using their phone number, they can log into Opus. For trainees without a phone or phone number, they'll be able to create an account using an email.

Once the trainee is logged into Opus, they'll see a dashboard showing their profile and training assignments. Unlike the mobile app, trainees will not be able to access:

  • Resources ('My Things')

  • Check-ins

  • Messages

Trainees will only be able to adjust their language preference under "My Profile" and complete any outstanding training assignments.

FAQs

How are check-ins completed via desktop?

  • Check-ins are facilitated and completed in a similar experience to the mobile app with limited functionality. The admin, manager, or trainee facilitating the check-in must perform it using the mobile app.
